Once approved, reimbursement for therapy services received by the applicant will be made directly to their therapist, as long as the therapist has been approved by Emotional Relief Fund.

Application Process

Once you submit your application and fulfill the eligibility requirements, you will receive a message confirming your submission.

Our application team typically reviews applications every two weeks. You will be contacted about next steps as soon as a decision has been made.

Note that all submissions are HIPAA compliant.

Who Should Apply

We support families of teens and young adults in need of financial assistance in order to receive mental health treatment. These families are typically not eligible for Medicare or Medicaid and do not have sufficient commercial insurance coverage or available assets to afford the cost of care.

Your family is welcome to apply if you feel that you meet these criteria. Please note that an application is not a guarantee of support. Due to limited financial resources, we will prioritize distribution of funds based on the order in which qualified applications are received.

How Payment Works

Once a teenager or young adult has been approved for financial assistance, the applicant’s licensed therapist will need to maintain or create a profile with Emotional Relief Fund.  The therapist will upload invoices via our secure system and payment will be issued directly to the provider up to the established limits.
